| One hilarious skit! |
We had our May trip meeting this past Sunday. We laughed hard as we got to know each other better through skits, and also had some thoughtful times as we went through our workbooks in small groups. More and more things are getting crossed off our lists as we prepare for this trip. As the trip itineraries are firming up, we are feeling increasingly excited about what is to come.

| Ah, the joys of paperwork! |
Speaking of itineraries, I was updating the dates for the trip on my personal calendar on my laptop. I entered the trip as a daily event, beginning on July 13 and ending on August 5, 2011. At that point, my calendar went completely crazy. For some unknown reason, it re-entered the trip again and again (ad infinitum), each time starting one day later and ending one day later. If you look at my calendar, it is full of Cambodia. Forever. At first it made me laugh uncontrollably. I still giggle a bit just thinking about the ridiculousness of it, but I got to thinking there might be some truth in the errant programming. I have a feeling that my life forever after this trip will have the imprint of Cambodia on it. God has much in store for all of us. I can't wait to see who we all become on this journey!
Hey!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to see how the Lord uses this trip to open up your eyes to His global purpose and LOVE for the nations! Also, I'm just very encouraged by your church's desire to send people to Cambodia!
Our Lord is SO good :) & I can't wait to hear the stories you have!

Heather - I am co-"owner" of this blog and did not see your comment until today. Then I went and read your blogs. Wow! Looks like you God has some big things in store for you. My personal blog is http://firstgleamofdawn-liz.blogspot.com/ which explains my journey to this point. I have been praying for the people of Cambodia and our church's mission trips to Cambodia for years and feel so privileged that God requested my presence on this year's team. I look forward to following your journey as well. God bless!
